PUNO - BOLIVIA TOUR PACKAGE 5D/4N
DAY 1: AIRPORT RECEPTION – HOTEL IN PUNO
According to your flight arrival time, our transportation will be waiting for you at Inca Manco Cápac International Airport to transfer you to the city of Puno.
DAY 2: PUNO – LA PAZ – MOON VALLEY – CITY TOUR – UYUNI
05:30 a.m. Pickup from your hotel in Puno and transfer to the bus station to board the service to La Paz.
During the journey, there will be a stop in Desaguadero to complete immigration procedures. Once finished, we will continue the trip to La Paz.
Upon arrival, our guide and transportation will meet you at the station and transfer you to a local restaurant where you may have lunch (at the passenger’s expense). Afterwards, we will begin the visit to Valle de la Luna, famous for its unique geological formations.
We will then continue with a city tour of La Paz, visiting its main attractions such as Plaza San Francisco and the Mercado de las Brujas, among other iconic sites.
The experience is complemented with a ride on the Mi Teleférico, offering impressive panoramic views of the city.
Free time for shopping in La Paz or enjoying dinner.
In the evening, transfer to the bus station to board the overnight sleeper bus to Uyuni.
DAY 3: UYUNI – SALAR DE UYUNI – LA PAZ
Reception upon arrival in Uyuni at approximately 7:00 a.m. Free time for breakfast (at the passenger’s expense).
At 10:30 a.m. we will begin our excursion to the breathtaking Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt desert in the world. Our first stop will be the Train Cemetery, followed by a visit to Colchani, where we will learn about the artisanal salt processing and explore its local market.
We will then enter the Salar de Uyuni to visit the Dakar Monument, the Plaza de las Banderas, and the former Hotel de Sal, where we will enjoy lunch. During the tour, we will observe natural salt formations, water springs known as “ojos de agua,” and the endless white landscape.
Next, we will continue to Incahuasi Island, a volcanic rock formation covered with giant cacti. From its summit, you will enjoy spectacular panoramic views and time for photos in the Salar de Uyuni.
The tour ends in a remote area of the salt flats to admire the sunset in the Salar de Uyuni, accompanied by wine and snacks.
Return to Uyuni around 7:30 p.m. and transfer to the bus station to board the overnight bus to La Paz at 8:45 p.m.
DAY 4: LA PAZ – COPACABANA – PUNO
Upon arrival in La Paz, you will have free time for breakfast. Afterwards, departure at approximately 7:30 a.m. to Copacabana.
During the journey, we will cross the Strait of Tiquina, where the vehicle is transported by ferry while passengers cross the strait by boat — a unique experience along the Andean route.
Arrival in Copacabana around 12:00 p.m., where we will change buses to continue the journey back to Puno. Immigration procedures between Bolivia and Peru will be completed along the way. Afterwards, we will continue the trip until arriving in Puno.
DAY 5: PUNO – SILLUSTANI – JULIACA AIRPORT
According to your flight schedule, our team will pick you up from your hotel in downtown Puno to depart for the Sillustani archaeological complex, home to the impressive funerary towers of the Inca–Kolla cemetery, known as chullpas.
Upon arrival at Sillustani, we will approach the chullpas while the guide explains the historical and ceremonial importance of this necropolis, considered one of the most important in the Andean highlands. You will also have time to admire the spectacular view of Laguna Umayo, which surrounds the complex and enhances the beauty of the landscape.
Optionally, we will make a short stop at a traditional Andean house, where you can learn about the local lifestyle, traditional agricultural activities, and the raising of camelids such as llama and alpaca.
After the visit, transfer to Inca Manco Cápac International Airport, arriving with enough time to board your flight.
